Randomness for the week

Some very random thoughts have been running through my head and if I don't get them out soon, I might go crazy.

My ideals about short hair styles for women over 30 has changed. While I would love to be one who sticks by my guns, I will have to let my hair grow out a bit because there isn't room on my debit card for my expensive haircuts every 6 weeks.
(right now I am going on 3 months) I will keep it short-ish (if that is a word, which I don't think it is, but oh well) See I have gotten wiser with age.

Tonight, my hilarious son was swinging his arms around after getting out of his high chair. As he was acting like king of the wild things, he knocked over a glass of water. The glass of water went all over the table and all over my phone. My nice phone. My nice phone that did everything. My nice phone that did everything including video and photos. Now my phone is in pieces on a towel just drying out.
I am hoping my phone will think I am treating to a 'spa day' and work better than ever tomorrow when I try it out. Oh, did I mention that Baby laughed hysterically after this happened. Like full on laughing. It was a mixed emotion kinda moment because he was so cute, but I was so sad about my phone. Speaking of tomorrow, my baby has his nine month appointment in the morning. It has gone by so fast. It is amazing how much has changed in that time. Nine months.... crazy. I still can't believe I am a mom. He has totally changed my life, but in a weird way he hasn't. He has simply fit into our lives almost effortlessly. It is like I don't really have worries or doubts about motherhood because this is what I was meant to do. I still don't think I am describing it correctly, but it is the best I can do.

My parents come up in three short weeks. I have been counting down the time since they will visit and I think that it has been entirely too long. (The last time we saw them in person was in November.) Then after their visit it will be our friends from Nebraska, then the Inlaws. I don't know what to look forward to after that. I guess I am now taking bookings for the Sodermoto abode for the fall time. Any takers?

Sorry about your phone. I hope it still works :) But it's so cute that he was laughing. He seriously is so cute!!! Being a mom is the best thing in the world. It's hard to describe but I know exactly what you mean.

Sorry about your phone! Try sticking it in a bag of uncooked rice for a few days. I guess it takes all the moisture out of the phone. It is worth a try! Let me know if it works!

Thanks guys! And thankfully my phone still worked. I didn't put it in rice, (it slipped my mind last night) but it still worked when I turned it on! Hallelujah!
