Early Birthday wish for my Mother!

Happy Birthday Mom! I love our chats at 6:00 every night. I  am so happy to have such a great friend and mom!  I don't know who I would get in trouble with if I didn't have you!  Who would I go and spend hours shopping with?  Who would I laugh with about stupid
things?
(Like "Why the long face?") I love the fact that Dads nickname for us are "Stupid Woman"
and "Stupid Girl".  I chuckle to myself whenever I think about all the road trips we went
on in the motor home and all the candy we ate and songs we sang. (It still makes me crack up when ever I think about when you caused dad to fall out of bed when you almost hit that
mile marker in Montana.) I will alway replace your teasing comb when Amy takes it away.  Every time I see the Nutcracker Ballet, I think that the Sugar Plum Fairy has nothing on you and your mad dance skills.   Also you seriously are a reincarnated Norma Desmond. (or some other Hollywood Starlet from the 50's)   You are my Lucy and I am your Ethel. I love our Sunday grocery store trips, even though they haven't happened for a while because of your gimpy foot! I hope you know how important you are to me and the entire family.  We all love you (even with all your craziness!)

Why do I do this to myself?

I have taken on another job. I will be working part-time at the County again. I love the work and dealing with accounts and I seriously miss the buildup to the "busy" season. I love that numbers don't change, they either balance or they don't. They are either correct or they are wrong. There is no grey area. (seriously, I should be an accountant. I can't balance my own checkbook, but I bet I could balance a companies.)
So now my days are filled with school and work. And my nights and weekends will be filled with work and school. (I am also trying to do freelance work for web design or graphic design) I am coming to the grim realization that maybe I am meant to always be busy. I seem to get more done that way. All I need to keep saying is I am saving for my trip. I am saving for my trip. I am saving for my trip.

Teaching the parents about TECHNOLOGY!

My dad decided we needed to have a GPS for our "big" trip to Europe.  We needed to hook it up and create an account for it.  Fun times!  This is me using the computer and my moral support group! :)

Springtime means dogpark time

First day this spring that we have been able to go to the dog park.  Nothing is more fun than watching the dogs play and interact. Nothing beats drinking a cup of coffee and watching my little Kimi play nice with the other dogs. (except she seems to get a little moody when they all try to sniff her bum... go figure.)

Does not play well with others.....

This is Travis' Rubix cube that he is trying to solve occasionally.  We are having a sleepover with my nephews and Kaiyu walked into the kitchen with it. After Kai had mixed it up enough, Travis took it and put it out of reach from the boys.
He moved it to the top of the Fridge.  What a stickler!  Apparently, he doesn't share that toy very well. :)

Happy Birthday to Kaiyu!

Happy late Birthday, Kaiyu!  On Sunday, we had a great day celebrating his birthday.   The boys have such a great time with Travis.  They all just rough house and goof off. They were all just laughing while they were playing. Trav is such a great uncle!  Happy Birthday again, Kaiyu.  We love you and can't wait for our fun Sleepover this weekend!

Boyz II Men

On our way out West to see Boyz II Men. It was seriously a great concert. I loved it. I really respect a group more when they sound the same as their records.  Here is a recording of the concert, (it isn't the best quality, but it totally sounds like their cd. It is the song "4 Seasons of Loneliness). So much fun!  Thanks for driving Dad!

Does it look like Kimi is actually smiling in this picture....

Or is it just me? (it might just be me)

Tickets are purchased!!!!

We have finally taken the plunge and bought the tickets for our Girls trip to Europe this Summer. (sorry boys, you can go next time).  We surprised my mom by flying directly into Paris
from the 'tah.
We will then  take the Chunnel to
London (and spend a few days) and then take the wonderfully named, "Flying-Scotsman" to end up in Edinburgh, Scotland (and spend a bunch of days there). So excited... I definetly hope my 7th grade French will come back to me.  Oui!
And I am way excited to go on a once in a lifetime trip with my mom and sisters.   Thanks, Dad! I don't know how I could ever repay ya! Love ya!
