Mochi Time
Ever since she was little, my neice's favorite food was Mochi. Mochi is a Japanese food that is made from sweet rice that is meshed into a dough. When eaten before the new year, it is suppose to bring good luck to who ever eats it. (unfortunately a few old people in Japan die every year because they choke on it, which I would consider an unlucky event.) When my parents came up to deliver all our stuff, they had a morning making the sweet stuff. It was delish and always reminds me of when I was little, eating too much of it at my Grandma's house. Great time.

New things, new adventures
The past weeks have flown by. When I have a day off it is usually bustling with errands or fun times with our new "couple" to hang out. (which is weird because they have always been our "couple" that we hang out with but we have been in different time zones so we haven't really seen each other much) I am settling nicely into my new job. I work as I have said at Ellen Hutson LLC. Her company sells craft supplies, mainly she makes cards and teaches others how to make cards. I bought my first supplies this weekend and am going to give it a try. Wish me luck... And sorry I haven't been that exciting. But I have the feeling exciting things are on the way!

Ok, the downlow....
The last month (yes, it has literally been a month since we moved.) has flown by. I got a position at an office/warehouse for a small craft supply company called Ellen Hutson, LLC. I know everyone says the people at their work are the greatest, but no for reals, mine are. Everyone is so nice and helpful. While we fill orders ,we talk and listen to stories. If you get a sec, you should check out her site, Ellen has an AMAZING creative eye. Her cards she creates are crazy-cute.
Travis just barely got a job at Fred Meyer's stocking shelves at night. He will be working from 12 midnight to nine in the morning. Talk about a change for him. I think there will be a little adjusting but he will rock it! The job is both good and bad, he will be on an opposite schedule as I will but will be able to let the dogs out during the day. We will at least get one meal together which will be his breakfast and my dinner.
We also got an apartment in a smaller town on the outskirts of Seattle called Issaquah. It is such a cute little town. It is what Ogden should be. There are always tons of people walking around, going to restaurants or running errands. You definitely feel a sense of community. I can't wait to take a stroll down front street to get a closer look.
So there is the bigger update. I am rested and relaxed, although my house still consists of a boxes. My parents, who brought up my stuff from Utah are here for one more day, so unpacking will have to wait for one more day.

Quickest Update ever
OK I have been so busy for the last little bit. I have found a great job, got an apartment, got my dogs up here, got Travis a job, and got our furniture up here. That is about the quickest update I can give... I need a week to recover. I will update a little more once I have had some sleep.

Oaks Christian vs. Skyline High School
Video from my nieces iphone of Will Smith on the sidelines.
As you know I have been living in Suburbia for the last few weeks. According to the neighborhood, the biggest, most happening thing was the High School game between the local Skyline High and Oaks Christian, which is located in So. California. On the Oaks Christian team the coolest thing was the fact that the quarterback was Nick Montana, Joe Montana's son and some other players on the team were Will Smith's son, Trey and Wayne Gretsky's son as well. There were sightings of Will Smith throughout Issaquah, and even talk around the house of stalking them all at the local Hilton.
The most exciting part of the whole night was when my neice, Kaity came home so hyper because she stayed after the game and got the autograph of Nick Montana

on her sweatshirt. She also got to high five Trey and Wayne Gretsky's son (who was not as big of a player in the game, so I don't know his name. Sorry.) Before she went to bed there was actual talk about if she should wash her hand because she was so happy they had touched her. It was such an exciting time for the plateau. While all the husbands went to the game, along with my niece because she was a student, the wives all were meeting for their book club. While all the excitement was happening a few miles away, I was baby sitting my nephew and his friend while everyone was out playing. I did get to watch the second half of the game on the tv, which had a great ending, but unfortunately ended with Skyline losing 28-25.

The hand!
